Album, concert and music assignments for the Glendale News-Press gave me an opportunity to cover Lou Rawls, Elton John, Tears for Fears, concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and Mission: Impossible composer Lalo Schifrin. This former dance performer, who still loves to cut loose on the dance floor, has written about popular, classical and jazz music throughout my career.
