A newspaper editor assigned my first paid article, a front page feature on Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead, 15 years ago. I have been writing about news, business, politics, sports, arts and travel ever since.

January 1, 2009: ScottHolleran.com celebrates second anniversary.

October, 2008: Began courses at the Objectivist Academic Center (OAC) at the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) in Irvine, California.

August–September, 2008: Added new content, links, and cultural commentary to my blog and to Movies section.

July, 2008: After six years as partner, writer and editor, decided to leave Box Office Mojo, LLC, (BOM) to pursue other projects.

June-July, 2008: Attended the Ayn Rand Institute’s Objectivist Conference (OCON) in Newport Beach, California.

April-May, 2008: Hosted a screening of Howard Hawks’ Red River starring John Wayne at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
